You may have received a review letter about your Council Tax discount for being the only adult living in your property. We review Council Tax discounts because sometimes people fail to tell us when the number of adults living at their address changes.
This could be because:
- a new partner moves in
- a new tenant moves in
- a child turns 18
How to respond to the review letter
The review is being managed on behalf of us by NEC Software Solutions. They are responsible for posting the review letters and updating your discount details, based on the outcome of the review.
You will be asked to declare if you are still eligible to the discount. The easiest and quickest way to do this is via our online form (link is external). Details about how to access the online form are also provided in the letter posted to your address.

There is a dedicated team who will deal with this review. Any queries should be made directly to NEC Software Solutions.
If you are unable to complete the online form, you can return the paper form or contact NEC by phone. Their address and phone number are provided on your letter.
