From 16th April 2013 a surcharge of 1.8% will apply to credit card payments. Penalty Charge Notices are exempt from the surcharge, as are all debit card payments.
Rent paid by Direct Debit is collected from your bank fortnightly (every 2 weeks). As part of the Direct Debit guarantee you will always be kept informed of any changes to the amount we need to collect.

Woking Borough Council maintains a Housing Register of applicants in housing need including Council tenants who wish to transfer to a more suitable home. Through the Housing Register assessment process, applicants housing needs are assessed and a level of priority awarded using a banding system. The Council offers incentive grants to tenants who are under occupying or who want to down size to a smaller property. The council also offers help, support and advice on Housing Benefit, Benefit Cap or Bedroom subsidy.
