In a council home, we are responsible for the repair and maintenance of:

• communal areas and equipment
• windows and external doors
• roof and rainwater goods
• plumbing (including internal blocked waste pipes, gullies or traps)
• sanitary ware (such as wash basins and toilets)
• heating and hot water systems
• kitchen units
• internal walls (plastering)
• floors

Sheltered or extra care housing

You may need extra support and assistance if you're a resident of:

• sheltered housing
• extra care housing or bungalow

In this case, we are also responsible for the repair and maintenance of:

• beeping smoke detectors
• problems with door locks
• replacing light bulbs in enclosed light fittings
• clearing gutters
• pest control
• fencing
• floor coverings
