Service update: The housing services system will be unavailable for essential maintenance on 14 and 15 July. During these dates, customers will not able to bid for properties and access their online account.
Please note that the Civic Offices remain closed to the public until further notice. This means bids cannot be placed in person at our offices.
We have invested in a new housing IT system which aims to improve services for our customers. Over recent years, customer expectations have changed regarding how they would like to access our services and how we communicate with them.
The new system covers the day to day operations of the housing advice, housing allocations and housing management services. The first system upgrade has delivered a new choice based lettings system, which provides more information about advertised properties and makes your online bidding simpler. You also have more access to information regarding your applications and bids.
To access the new system, you need to update your existing online account. If you do not update this, you will not be able to bid for properties.
How to update your online account
To access the new choice based lettings system, you are required to update your online account by submitting the following information:
- your housing application reference number
- your surname
- your date of birth.

Choice based lettings bidding cycles
From Tuesday 18 February, we will be extending the fortnightly bidding cycles. The bidding cycles will open as usual at 9am on the nominated Tuesday and finish at 9am on the Friday (of the same week). Previously, the bidding cycles closed on the Thursday evening.
