What the housing register is

The demand for housing is extremely high and we do not have enough council housing to meet this demand.

We're taking approximately 22 to 24 weeks to process applications. If you have submitted an application and you have not heard from us, please do not contact us. We will respond to all applications.

The housing register allocates available homes to individuals and families with the greatest housing need. These include:

  • council owned homes
  • housing association owned homes
  • homes rented to us by private landlords
