Textiles and electricals kerbside collections restart

Date:

Monday, 1 June, 2020

Joint Waste Solutions has restarted the kerbside collection of clothes, home textiles, small electricals and batteries from today, Monday 1 June.

To use the weekly collection service, place the items into a standard size plastic carrier bag and leave the bag (tied together at the top) next to your rubbish or recycling bin on your collection day. Residents can recycle one bag of textiles and one bag of electricals per week.

To find out what items can be recycled, visit the Joint Waste Solution website.

Recycling banks that are operated by a range of charities are unlikely to be emptied regularly, so please check Joint Waste Solution’s online search tool which checks if the item you’d normally take to a recycling bank can be recycled through the collection service. If not please hold onto it until recycling bank services are back to normal.
