Date:

Monday, 29 April, 2019

Borough residents who are not already registered to vote and wish to vote in the forthcoming European election on Thursday 23 May 2019 have until Tuesday 7 May 2019 to register to vote.

Residents can register online quickly and efficiently by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Local residents who are unsure whether they are already on the Electoral Register can contact Woking Borough Council's Elections Team on 01483 755855 or email elections@woking.gov.uk

European electors

European electors who are already registered to vote must complete a UC1 declaration form, which states that they will not use their European parliamentary vote in their home country, if they wish to vote during the European election.

All EU citizens registered to vote within the Borough have been contacted with a copy of the UC1 declaration form. The deadline for returning the completed UC1 declaration form is Tuesday 7 May 2019.

Any EU citizens not yet registered to vote will need to register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote before completing the UC1 form to vote in the European parliamentary election.

Unlike the local Borough elections on Thursday 2 May, voters participating in the European election are not required to show approved photographic identification when arriving at the polling station.
