Applications are now being accepted for performers, artists, entertainers and traders to join the party at this year’s Party in the Park on Saturday 6 July 2019.

This year the festival event management team is inviting interested applicants to apply online via a new interactive online booking system, now available on the Celebrate Woking website.

Now in its eighth year, the free-to-attend, family cultural festival is one of the largest of its kind in the South East, attracting thousands of people from across the county and beyond to enjoy great entertainment and the chance to celebrate the cultural diversity of our Borough, surrounded by the greenery of Woking Park.

Packed full of great entertainment ranging from live music, dance and street theatre to sport and children’s activities, there is something for everyone. The festival also offers the ever-popular, unique opportunity to catch an outdoor movie on the Big Screen as the sun goes down.

The cultural extravaganza brings together community groups, local artists, small traders and artisans. It truly is the place to be seen at the start of summer.

The new booking system provides a secure area for applicants to manage their application, including:

  • manage your own account
  • upload and submit required information and event documentation
  • view fee structures and the event site map
  • pay online via Woking Borough Council’s secure online payment portal
  • stay up-to-date with the status of your booking and find out if your application has been successful.
  • receive festival news, updates and information.

Speaking about the event, Cllr Colin Kemp, Woking Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Cultural Services, said: “Party in the Park is well established as one of the jewels in the crown of our Celebrate Woking calendar. The event is growing in popularity, attracting thousands of partygoers each year.

“We welcome expressions of interest from a wide variety of applicants, from artists and performers to artisans selling home made goods, through to food traders.

“If you think that your offer has what it takes to help us celebrate in style at Party in the Park 2019, then make sure you apply soon to beat the rush and secure your pitch at the party.”

The festival opens at 12pm until 9pm on Saturday 6 July 2019. Festival event management regrets that not all applicants will be successful.
