Report antisocial behaviour

If you feel that you are the victim of antisocial behaviour, you should consider the following steps.

• Start to keep a log or diary of incidents – this information will be crucial if you decide to make a formal report.
• If appropriate, contact whoever is causing the antisocial behaviour and ask them politely if they can stop.
• Get involved in your local community – initiatives like neighbourhood watch schemes really make a difference to how safe a community feels.
• Join your local residents’ association to share concerns and coordinate action.
• Apply for an antisocial behaviour case review if you feel the incidents you've reported have not been dealt with.

You should be realistic in your expectations. People of different ages and different lifestyles might find that at times they are disturbed by other people in the community. Sometimes this is the result of reasonable living, and will not be considered anti-social behaviour.
