Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy consultation

The draft Preventing Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2020 to 2024 sets out how we will work with partners to address homelessness in Woking Borough and support residents in housing crisis.

The draft strategy follows on from a Homelessness Review completed earlier in 2019, which pulled together information on homelessness in Woking.

Actions will be targeted at delivering on the following four strategic priorities:

  • To prevent homelessness and offer early help.
  • To provide a range of accommodation options.
  • To support vulnerable residents through partnership working.
  • To reduce rough sleeping.

About the consultation

We have recently drafted a Preventing Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2020 to 2024 which incorporates the latest good practice, legislation and government guidance.

Before the strategy is approved, we are consulting with residents and associated stakeholders to seek their views and opinions.
