Using the noise app for a noise nuisance
You can use the app to send audio and video recordings of noise problems to us. We will send your report to either:
- our environmental health team
- your housing officer if it relates to a council tenant
By recording incidents as they happen, you can provide clear, real-time evidence, removing the need to rely on memory when describing disturbances.
We securely store recordings sent through the app and may use them to investigate noise complaints. This includes complaints about homes and businesses.
The app can help us identify breaches of tenancy conditions and investigate antisocial behaviour. This can help us respond more quickly to noise complaints.
Get the Noise App
To use the Noise App, you must contact us and provide your name, address and email address.
For general noise nuisance.

We will send you an invitation to download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
We will keep your personal information confidential and will not share it with anyone who is not authorised to see it.
How to Use The Noise App
To use the noise app:
- Wait for your invitation from us.
- Create your account and select your reporting organisation. You will then be ready to begin using the app.
- Record the noise disturbance as it happens, capturing clear evidence in real time.
- Monitor notifications for updates on your case and continue to submit recordings as necessary.
