Extra terms and conditions (T&Cs) for resident permits
These apply in addition to our general terms and conditions.
Types of permits
We offer 2 types of resident permits:
- 24-hour permit – you can park at any time
- off-peak permit – you can park between the hours of 5pm to 9am on weekdays, and all day on weekends and bank holidays
If you park during peak hours with an off-peak permit, you must pay the standard parking charge.
Applying for a permit
You must apply online using the ZATPermit website.
It may take up to 5 working days to process your application.
You must pay the standard parking charge until your application is approved and paid for.
Where you can park
Resident permits are valid in:
- Heathside Crescent car park
- Victoria Place car park – Yellow zone
- Victoria Place car park – Blue zone
- Victoria Place car park – Red zone
You cannot use residential permits in Victoria Place Green zone.
Using a courtesy vehicle
Your permit or season ticket is non transferable. If your report it to us in advance, you may use it for a courtesy car for up to 30 days.
You must email evidence of repair or servicing, and the estimated completion date.

If you move home
If you move out of the qualifying area, you must cancel your residential permit.
Cancelling your permit or season ticket
You must cancel using your ZATPermit account.
The cancellation is immediate. Your permit or season ticket will stop working at the entrance and exit barriers.
You can apply for a refund for unused full months. A £25 administration fee will be deducted.
