Save the date! Woking’s Voluntary Sector Fair returns for a sixth year
Working Together for Woking, the borough's largest showcase of voluntary and community support, returns this autumn for its sixth year, bringing together organisations, volunteers and residents to connect.
Taking place at Woking Leisure Centre on Thursday 12 November, the free networking event will welcome up to 100 local charities, community groups and voluntary organisations for a day of collaboration and information sharing.
Residents are also invited to drop in between 10.30am and 1.30pm to discover the wide range of services available across the borough and explore the volunteering opportunities available on their doorstep.
Cllr Ann-Marie Barker, Leader of Woking Borough Council, said:
For six years, Working Together for Woking has highlighted the incredible contribution our voluntary and community sector makes to people's lives every day.
Bringing together our dedicated volunteers encourages community partnerships that help our communities thrive. From supporting those facing challenges to creating opportunities for people to connect, these organisations are at the heart of our communities.
Please save the date in your diary to come and browse local services or find a volunteering opportunity that’s right for you.
Charities and voluntary sector organisations can still register to take part in this year's event. Sign up online before Wednesday 28 October to secure a free place.
