Last chance to have your say on the future of Woking town centre

Residents and stakeholders only have a few days left to have their say on a new framework that will guide future town centre development.

The comprehensive Woking Town Centre Masterplan consultation closes at midnight, Monday 17 October 2022.

The Masterplan will establish an overarching vision for Woking town centre that will enable design-led, sustainable development, such as new homes that meet the needs of residents, a thriving retail and business environment, as well as strengthening Woking’s cultural and leisure offer.

The consultation has been split up into ten different themes so that residents can comment on their particular areas of interest.

Cllr Liam Lyons, Woking Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Planning and Regulation, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who has already given us their feedback on our Masterplan consultation. These comments will help shape the final document. However, with time running out, I’d encourage residents and stakeholders who are yet to have their say on the future development of Woking town centre to tell us their views before it’s too late.”

There is still have time to comment on the proposals up until midnight on Monday 17 October 2022.
