Extreme heat and health alerts
Both the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have extended the red alerts for Surrey and the south east until 11pm on Friday 26 June.

The Executive
In May of each year, the Leader of the Council appoints councillors to the Executive. The Executive is currently made up of 6 councillors and the Leader.

The role of the Executive
The Executive:
- is accountable for decision-making within the council's overall policies and budget framework
- recommends to the council on new policies and decisions outside its remit
- ensures the consistent application of corporate standards
When the Executive meets
The Executive meets at such times as determined by the Leader.
The meetings are held at 7pm on a Thursday, in the Council Chamber of the Civic Offices.
