Social services support for domestic abuse

Some adults experiencing domestic abuse may be entitled to help from Surrey County Council’s adult social care departments. Social services may be able to help if you:

  • are elderly
  • have children living with you
  • are under the age of 18
  • have left care or are about to do so
  • are in poor health
  • have a physical or learning difficulty

Social services may help you by finding accommodation, paying for a deposit or providing financial support. There are no set rules regarding type and level of support they are required to provide.
