Accommodation and housing support for domestic abuse

We have a duty of care to find somewhere for you and any dependent children to live, if you are experiencing domestic abuse. Some people are entitled to emergency accommodation.

You will be asked to provide details about your situation. You may be asked for supporting evidence, which could include details and dates of incidents.

To apply for help with accommodation and housing, contact our Housing Options team.

In addition to any support given by us and other agencies, we strongly advise that you obtain independent legal advice as soon as possible.

You might be able to get free and confidential advice from Civil Legal Advice (CLA) as part of legal aid if you are in England or Wales.
