Both the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have extended the red alerts for Surrey and the south east until 11pm on Friday 26 June.

The Homesafe Plus service supports patients and their families following a stay in hospital.

Homesafe Plus is jointly provided by Elmbridge, Runnymede, Spelthorne, Surrey Heath and Woking borough councils, partnered with health and social care across north west Surrey.
Existing services in the borough are tailored to provide immediate support once you have left hospital. Patients are given access to a variety of support services on the course of six weeks.
Homesafe Plus aims to reduce pressure on local NHS services by:
- facilitating timely discharge from hospital
- minimising excess bed days
- reducing preventable hospital admissions
- helping patients to access support provided by local authorities
