Extreme heat and health alerts
Both the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have extended the red alerts for Surrey and the south east until 11pm on Friday 26 June.
Many payments will ask you to include a payment reference. It is important to add the correct payment reference, so we can process your payment in time.
Your Council Tax reference is 11 digits and starts with ‘05’. You can find it on the right hand side of your bill.
Your business rates reference is 11 digits and starts with ‘15’. You can find it on the right hand side of your bill.
Your housing rent or service charge reference is 11 digits and starts with ‘5’. You can find it on your housing payment slip.
General invoice references are 16 digits and start with ‘04’
Your Housing Benefit reference is 9 digits and starts with ‘06’. Where can you find this reference?
PCN references are 12 digits, as shown on your parking ticket, starting with either 'WO' or 'YK'. 'WO' are letters of the alphabet, not a letter and the number zero (0).
It can take up to 24 hours for new PCNs to be logged on our payment system. If you cannot find your PCN, please check the date and time of issue.
PCN payment references starting with 'RR'
PCN references starting with ‘RR’ are issued by Surrey County Council for on-street parking offences.
