Paying online
Online payments are protected by Transport Layer Security (TLS), as recommended by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. Payments are processed using Access PaySuite services.
Access PaySuite's online payment management solutions are independently and rigorously security assessed. Access PaySuite is certified as a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 payment processor, as required by Visa and MasterCard.
When your payment will be processed
Payments made by 4pm will show on your account with the council on the next working day. We will process payments made after 4pm on the next working day.
If your card is refused
If your payment is refused, it will be your card issuer refusing the payment. We do not refuse payments.
There are many reasons why this may happen so please contact your card issuer directly.
Payment receipts
You will receive a confirmation of your payment on screen after you make the payment.
We will ask you for an email address so we can send a payment confirmation to you. We may also use this address if we need to email you regarding the payment.
If you change your mind
You can cancel your payment at any time before you select ’make a payment’.
Just select ‘cancel’ at the top of the page. This will take you back to our homepage and all the details you have entered will be deleted.
