Both the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have extended the red alerts for Surrey and the south east until 11pm on Friday 26 June.
Problems paying your Council Tax
Check if you qualify for financial support and what you can do if you miss a payment.
If you're having problems paying your monthly Council Tax instalments, you could:
- apply to pay over 12 months instead of the standard 10 months
- see if you qualify for a Council Tax discount or exemption
- apply for Council Tax Support if you're on a low income or claim Universal Credit
- apply for a repayment arrangement
If you miss a payment
If you can, pay the missing payment immediately.
Consider setting up a Direct Debit payment so you do not miss future payments.

If you do not pay and do nothing
If you do not pay your Council Tax on time, we will send you a reminder and final notice. We may also start legal proceedings which could add extra costs to the amount you owe us.
