Gambling and lottery permits

A licensed premises gaming machine permit applies to a premises that holds an on-premises alcohol licence, which includes a bar where alcohol is served. 

With a premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003, you are allowed up to 2 gaming machines. Please contact us to notify us and pay the applicable notification fee.

How to apply

To operate more than 2 gaming machines, you must apply for a gaming permit.

In some circumstances, your application may need to be referred to our Licensing Sub-Committee.

Renewals

You do not need to renew this permit, as long as the:

• premises continues to have an alcohol licence
• holder of the permit continues to hold that licence

The permit can lapse if the holder surrenders it.
