Basic standards for houses in multiple occupation (HMOs)

Private landlords who own or run houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) must provide different basic housing standards depending on how many people live in the property.

Small HMOs

These are private properties rented by 3 or more people (including children) who form more than one household.
