Extreme heat and health alerts
Both the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have extended the red alerts for Surrey and the south east until 11pm on Friday 26 June.
Additional HMO licensing scheme
A new licensing scheme for small houses in multiple occupation (HMOs).
From 5 January 2026, all small HMO properties with 3 or 4 tenants from 2 or more households must be licensed.
