Bid for properties on the housing register
If you're on the housing register, you can bid for council-owned and housing association homes.
A 'bid' is when you register an interest in a property or properties.
Available properties
Properties are advertised online every 2 weeks.
The bidding cycle opens at 9am on Tuesday and closes at 9am on the Friday of the same week.
What you can bid for
You can bid for:
- a maximum of 3 properties per bidding cycle
- properties that meet your housing needs
- properties that match your allocated priority housing band

Other bidding actions you can do online
Cancel a bid
You can cancel a bid at any time during the bidding cycle. You will need to do this in the online CBL system.

You can search previous property lists to find out how many applications have been received for each property.

If you have recently been accepted on to the housing register, you will need to register for an online housing account to be able to bid.
