Request a new event or change an existing event

You can raise a digital experience work request for new content or a change to existing content.

Start now

This service is only available for internal staff.

You will need to tell us:

  • a clear title that explains what needs to change - for example, ‘New event for tenants and leaseholders' or 'Change to Film, fun and feedback: cinema showing event'
  • about the event
  • any deadlines or embargoes, and why - for example, an upcoming policy change or a new service launch

Explain as much as you can in the request itself. Write your request clearly and in plain English. Avoid acronyms, jargon and legal language.

It’s fine to suggest wording if it helps to explain what’s changed. However, we cannot put your copy straight onto Woking.gov.uk, even if it’s ‘signed off’.

We are responsible for presenting information in a way that users will understand.

What you need to tell us about the event

You will need to tell us:

  • the date - if the event takes place over several days, it will show as separate events in the calendar.
  • what time the event starts
  • what time the event ends (if applicable) - if this is not known, we can leave it blank
  • the location - you must provide the fall address
  • if it's free to attend or if it costs (and how much)

We suggest you also:

  • explain why someone might want to attend the event - this can help us design content for the event
  • provide images (if applicable)

What happens next

You will get a confirmation email with a work request reference number.

You can track the progress of your request by viewing our website work requests log.

You can also read how we prioritised requests and how long we may take.
