Service (default) page template
The service (also known as default) page template is designed to present singular user needs or tasks that are relatively brief.
When to use this template
Use this template if you're creating content that:
- addresses one user need or task
- is relatively brief
- can fit on one single page
- links out to an online form
When not to use this template
You should not use this template:
- to cover multiple user needs or tasks - for example how to apply and cancel a service
- for events, news articles, consultations, directories or strategies, policies and plans
If the page requires more guidance or information, you should consider using either:
- guide pages – if there's more content that's relative to the user completing the task, but it does not follow a strict process
- step by step pages – if the guidance follows a sequential process
