What happens if you cannot pay your council home rent

Overview
If you do not pay your rent, we will work with you to manage the arrears and help you keep your tenancy.
We may contact you to discuss what you owe, agree a repayment plan, and help you access financial support.
If your rent arrears increase and you do not agree a repayment plan with us, we may take formal action. This may include serving a legal notice and taking court action, depending on your tenancy or licence agreement.
You could lose your home.
