Housing Benefit Overpayment Policy

The policy sets our how we identify, manage and record benefit overpayments. It outlines the rules we follow to make sure that we treat customers fairly and respectfully, and do everything reasonable possible to recover overpayments.

An overpayment is an amount of Housing Benefit received by a claimant or landlord which they are not entitled to receive under the regulations.
