Anti-fraud Strategy

How we aim to prevent, identify and respond to fraud.

We take a zero-tolerance approach to fraud and corruption. 

This strategy focuses on how we will:

  • reduce the risk of fraud
  • help staff and the public report concerns
  • investigate suspected fraud
  • target high-risk areas such as housing, Council Tax and business rates
  • review and improve our approach over time

The strategy also includes a high-level action plan showing the main areas of work, the resources needed and the likely costs.
