Extreme heat and health alerts
Both the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have issued red alerts for Surrey and the south east on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June.
The plan is part of the Development Plan for the purposes of managing development in the Byfleet Neighbourhood Area.
Following a positive referendum result on the Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan on 7 May 2026, the Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan forms part of the Development Plan for managing development in the Byfleet Neighbourhood Area.
Therefore policies contained in the Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan will be used in determining planning applications within the Neighbourhood Area. This decision took effect from 11 June 2026.
The Council has published a final Decision Statement (in accordance with Regulation 19 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012) that sets out the Council’s decision and the reasons for making the decision.
