West Byfleet Neighbourhood Forum redesignation consultation

From 15 June to 13 July 2026, we are consulting on the West Byfleet Neighbourhood Forum redesignation.

Neighbourhood forum redesignations and planning

A redesignation will enable the forum to continue to be the responsible body for neighbourhood planning in West Byfleet. The forum will also continue to be recognised as a statutory consultee for influencing local planning matters. 

We must consult on proposed redesignations of neighbourhood forums when they have expired or are due to expire.

If the West Byfleet Forum is redesignated: 

• no other organisation will be able to create a neighbourhood plan until the forum expires
• the boundaries will not change

Neighbourhood forums are required to have a constitution outlining the organisation's basic framework and a minimum of 21 members.
