Draft financial statement 2024 to 2025 (PDF, 1.54 MB)Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, the external audit of the draft statement of accounts for the above years have not yet been completed by our external auditors:
The completion of the audits has been impacted by a combination of factors, including the complexity arising from our overall financial position, as outlined in the Section 114 Notice issued in June 2023 and the ongoing review of previous Statements of Accounts.
Additionally, BDO had not completed their consideration of matters relating to our compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and how these impact on the auditor’s report.
These circumstances have collectively extended the time required for completing the audit process. We continue to work with both sets of auditors to facilitate completion of outstanding audits as soon as practicable.
The format of our accounts is set by CIPFA under the Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting for the United Kingdom.
