The draft policy aims to provide a clear and consistent approach to how street trading is managed across the borough.
The policy explains:
- how we will consider street trading applications
- the standards we expect from traders
It does not introduce street trading controls to any new roads or locations.

Who can take part
The consultation is open to anyone with an interest in street trading within the borough, including:
- residents
- street traders
- local businesses
- visitors
- community groups
The consultation closes at 11:59pm on Sunday 15 November 2026.

What happens next
All feedback received will be carefully reviewed before a report is presented to the Licensing Committee.
The committee will consider the consultation responses and any recommended changes before deciding whether to adopt the policy.
