Residents, businesses, community groups and stakeholders are invited to a special engagement event on Wednesday 23 July 2025 at Trinity Methodist Church on what the proposed changes to local government in Surrey could mean for you in the future.

Senior councillors and officers from the council will explain what the reorganisation means, set out the different options being considered and show how you can get involved and have your say.

There will also be a Q&A session to raise concerns, ask questions and find out what the proposals could mean for you.

This consultation is the only formal opportunity for you to share your views on how local services, planning and investment decisions should be delivered in the future.

Speaking about the event, Cllr Ann-Marie Barker, Leader of Woking Borough Council, said:

This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reshape how local services are delivered across Surrey. I urge you to attend this event, hear what’s being proposed and make you voice heard. Your input matters.

Join the engagement session on Wednesday 23 July, between 7pm and 8.30pm at Trinity Methodist Church, Brewery Road, Woking.
