Join us at Jubilee Square in Woking town centre for our Festival of Remembrance (Sunday 9 and Tuesday 11 November 2025).

Order of Service for Remembrance Sunday 2025

The 2025 Remembrance Sunday service is on 9 November 2025 at the Woking War Memorial, and will include:

  • a series of readings
  • prayers and hymns
  • a two-minute silence observed at 11am
  • a wreath laying ceremony

9:50am  All organisations to assemble in Church Street East, Woking, under the direction of the Parade Marshal
10:15am Parade departs for Jubilee Square
10:30am All organisations to be in their allotted positions at the War Memorial
10:30am The Mayor’s Procession leaves the Civic Offices, Gloucester Square
10:35am Commencement of Service
10:58am Exhortation - Last Post
11:00am Two Minute Silence
11:02am Reveille - Kohima Prayer 
 11:05am

Laying of wreaths in the following order:

  • the Worshipful the Mayor of Woking
  • the Royal British Legion
  • the Member of Parliament for Woking
  • regular service units
  • service organisations
  • others
11:20am National Anthem
11:25am The Mayor Salute
11:30am Conclusion of Service

Following the conclusion of the Service, the Civic Procession is invited to follow the Mayor to the Saluting Base in Church Street East.
