Both the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have extended the red alerts for Surrey and the south east until 11pm on Friday 26 June.
Check if you need planning permission for a dropped kerb
To drop the kerb outside your property, you must first check with us if you need planning permission.

What to include
You will need to provide us with:
- the exact address of where the kerb is that you wish to drop
- a description of your proposed works
- a drawing or annotated photograph showing exactly where the kerb is that you wish to drop or alter and any existing dropped kerbs
Application fee
The fee to check whether you need planning permission is £100. Please quote your property address.
After you apply
If we confirm that you:
- do need permission, you must apply for planning permission
- do not need permission, you still need to apply for permission from Surrey County Council
