When writing content we follow a core set of principles based on user research, data, as well as:

• follow the basic principles of content design
• work to the GOV.UK A to Z style guide
• write in plain English
• collaborate and share work with service and product owners
• take part in design reviews, content crits, and 2i (2 eye) peer reviews

We give users what they need:

• only when they need it
• as simply and quickly as possible
• using language they understand
• in a consistent way

We do not have our own 'house style'.
