What we need to know

To set up a new account or make a change to your existing Council Tax account, we need to know:

  • your Council Tax account number – found in the top-right corner of your Council Tax bill
  • your current address
  • your new address
  • your moving date
  • the date of sale or end of tenancy
  • if the furniture is remaining or being removed
  • the name and address of the person moving in, if known
  • the name and address of the solicitor acting on your behalf (owners/occupiers only)
  • the landlord's or agent's name and address, if the property is rented
