Extreme heat and health alerts
Both the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have extended the red alerts for Surrey and the south east until 11pm on Friday 26 June.
Council Tax discounts and exemptions
Who qualifies for a discount or exemption (no charges), including students and single people.
Single occupier discount
You can get 25% off your bill if you pay Council Tax and you live on your own.
To be eligible, your property must be your only or main place of residence.
You can apply online for a single occupier discount.
While we process your application, you must continue paying your Council Tax. We can take action if you do not pay the full amount.
If someone else moves in
You must contact us to cancel your discount within 21 days if someone moves in.
You'll have to pay back the discount if you're not entitled to it.
