Extreme heat and health alerts
Both the Met Office and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have extended the red alerts for Surrey and the south east until 11pm on Friday 26 June.
Who qualifies for a discount or exemption (no charges), including students and single people.
Council Tax is worked out based on the number of adults, aged over 18 years old, living in a property. Some people are not counted, which is called 'disregarded'.
You can apply online for a discount if you or any adults you live with are not counted for Council Tax.
While we process your application, you must continue paying your Council Tax. We can take action if you do not pay the full amount.
If everyone is disregarded except for 1 person, you'll get a 25% discount.
If everyone is disregarded, you'll get a 50% discount.
