Choose someone to vote for you

Your proxy voter must be on the electoral register and eligible to vote at the election. If they are not, they must register to vote before they can vote on your behalf.

Your proxy voter must not have agreed to act as a proxy for more than either:

• 2 people in the UK and 2 people living abroad
• 4 people living abroad

If your proxy voter is unable to visit your nominated polling station in person, your proxy voter may apply to vote by post. You or your proxy can do so by contacting the elections team.
