Establishing a food business

When setting up a food business, there are a number of things to consider, including:

  • food hygiene inspections 
  • keeping food safety records 
  • food hygiene training
  • arranging waste and recycling collections with a licensed waste contractor
  • meeting food labelling requirements
  • making sure you have all the necessary planning and building control approvals for the premises to be used as a food business
