When you become a council tenant, you sign a tenancy agreement.
A tenancy agreement is a contract between you and us. It allows you to live in the property as long as you pay your rent and follow the terms of your tenancy. It sets out the terms and conditions of your tenancy.
If you have a secure council tenancy, your rights are set out in the Housing Act 1985.
You can request a copy of your tenancy agreement online.
