Join the Resident and Landlord Partnership Panel

The resident and landlord partnership panel reviews housing services and helps improve them.

The panel looks at:

  • housing service performance
  • housing policies
  • the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) budget
  • changes to procedures
  • housing projects
  • progress on the housing improvement programme

You can join the panel if you are a tenant, leaseholder, licensee or shared owner living in a Woking Borough Council home.

How to join the panel

You can apply to join the panel if you are a:

  • council tenant
  • leaseholder
  • licence holder
  • shared owner

You must live in a Woking Borough Council home.

The panel includes residents, a Chair and a Vice Chair.

  • help improve housing services
  • influence decisions that affect residents
  • share your views and experiences
  • work with other residents and council staff

What meetings cover

The agenda is shared before each meeting.

Meetings may include:

  • reviewing actions from previous meetings
  • updates on the housing improvement programme
  • updates from senior housing staff
  • reviewing performance information
  • discussing and approving housing policies
  • giving feedback on projects and services
  • agreeing future agenda items

The panel can request new topics for future meetings.

A comfort break is included.

Time commitment

You should allow around 3 hours each month:

  • 2 hours and 30 minutes for the meeting
  • at least 30 minutes to read meeting papers

Attend meetings

You can attend meetings online or in person.

Meetings are held in a hybrid format. You can:

  • join online using Microsoft Teams
  • attend in person at the Civic Offices, Gloucester Square, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6YL

Meetings are usually attended by:

  • the chair
  • the vice-chair
  • panel members
  • the Housing Resident Engagement Team
  • the Strategic Director for Communities
  • the Head of Housing Assets
  • the Head of Housing Transformation
  • other housing staff, where needed
  • council staff, contractors, stakeholders or guests, where needed

Get support to take part

We want all residents to be able to take part.

If you need support, we can:

  • provide information in alternative formats, such as large print or easy read
  • make reasonable adjustments to help you take part
  • offer support if you cannot use online meeting tools
  • communicate with your representative or advocate
