Join the Housing Volunteer Communications Group

The housing communications group helps create and review communications sent to housing residents.

The group:

  • creates and produces the Woking@Home newsletter
  • reviews and approves newsletter content
  • reviews housing letter templates
  • gives feedback on housing communications including housing webpages

Group members can help write articles and improve communications.

How to join the group

You can apply to join the group if you are a:

  • council tenant
  • leaseholder
  • licence holder
  • shared owner

You must live in a Woking Borough Council home.

This group is suitable if you are interested in writing, reviewing information and improving resident communications.

Time commitment

Meetings last 2 hours and take place once a month.

Some projects may require additional meetings.

You can attend:

  • online using Microsoft Teams
  • in person at the Civic Offices, Gloucester Square, Woking, Surrey GU22 6YL

You can also join the online group and give feedback by email without attending meetings.

You do not need to attend meetings to be involved.

You can:

  • review content by email
  • give feedback on drafts
  • respond at times that suit you
