Change a premises licence

You can apply to have a premises licence transferred to your name. You need the consent of the existing licence holder to do this. 

Before you apply

To apply to transfer a premises licence, you will first need:

• to have a current premises licence
• the consent of the premises licensee to transfer
• to pay the transfer fee

Consent to specify a designated premises supervisor (DPS)

If the business is changing and you are also changing the DPS, you will need to apply to:

• transfer the premises licence
• complete a new DPS consent form
