If there is an objection, a hearing of the Licensing Committee (which consists of 10 elected local councillors) must be held no later than 24 hours before the event, unless all agree that a formal hearing is unnecessary.
The committee will either approve, add conditions or reject the notice based on the licensing objective on preventing crime and disorder.
