We’re a dynamic and innovative council which serves a population of over 100,000 residents and offers a wide range of public services.
Undertaking a work experience placement with us aims to provide you with an opportunity to gain and improve important skills required for your future career. It also gives you an insight into the types of positions available in the public sector.
The majority of our placements will be based in the Civic Offices in Woking town centre where you will spend time supporting the work of a small team. Your day to day duties could include checking and replying to emails, answering the telephone, monitoring post, preparing documents, filing or research.
You may also shadow members of the team and assist them with their day to day work, or you could accompany a member of the team to a meeting or an event.
