Step 1: Use the benefits calculator to work out what you may be entitled to. Make a note of the reference code that it produces at the end.

Step 3: Bring both of these reference codes to your housing appointment.
Documents to bring
Depending on your situation, you will need to bring documents with you. This could include:
- court papers
- tenancy agreement
- tenancy eviction notice
- proof of identity for each member of your household
- proof of pregnancy
- marriage certificate and/or divorce papers
- proof of income
- completion statement from the sale of your property
